Pacific Coast Academy of Dance Presents The Nutcracker 2011

This full length, holiday tradition showcases extravagant costumes amidst spectacular scenery and dazzling special effects. Toy Dolls come to life, mice stage fierce battles with toy soldiers, a Christmas tree grows to the height of the theatre and Clara, with her charming Nutcracker Prince, travels to the Land of the Sweets in a magical sleigh.

Professional dancer Arsen Serobian, (Bolshoi and Moscow Ballet and founder of Dance Channel TV, Los Angeles) stars as Clara’s Prince and performs in both shows. David Blair (Opera Pacific, Murder Mystery Players, Broadway Wishes) is featured as the mysterious Herr Drosselmeyer, Clara’s beloved Godfather AND as Mother Ginger, an audience favorite!

Adorable preschool aged Gingersnaps delight and entertain family members of all ages. Ballet critics (OC Register) found the technical mastery of Youth America Ballet’s Nutcracker “exceptional” and “unsurpassed in California”, reflective of the Russian classical ballet training program at Pacific Coast Academy of Dance.
